We started ProsperSheet because we were tired of feeling buried.

Like a lot of you, we knew what it felt like to open banking apps and immediately feel anxious. Paycheck-to-paycheck living. Growing debt that kept us up at night. Budgets that looked perfect on paper but fell apart by the 10th of the month. We tried everything—complicated apps, strict rules, even those motivational spreadsheets that promised the world. Nothing stuck.

So we built something different.

Why We Started

A few years ago, one of us was drowning in credit card debt after a rough couple of years. The numbers felt overwhelming. Every time we tried to get organized, the tools either felt too basic or way too complicated. We just wanted something simple that showed the real picture—how much we owed, what we could actually afford, and a clear path forward that didn’t require perfection.

We started building our own Google Sheets systems. Nothing fancy. Just honest trackers that made the numbers make sense. Slowly, the fog lifted. We could see progress. Small wins turned into real momentum. Debt started going down instead of up. For the first time in years, we felt calm about money.

Friends saw what we were doing and asked for copies. Then their friends. Before long, we realized we weren’t the only ones who needed this.

Our Story
